Medi-Cal for Families with Children
A couple or a single parent, with 1 child or more (up to age 21), and with low-income can qualify for coverage for their family if they are in 1 of these categories:
- Child has a disability or chronic health condition
- One parent is absent, deceased, disabled or incapacitated
- Working parents cannot get health insurance through their jobs
For Pregnant Women
A pregnant woman who is uninsured and with low-income, or has middle income but cannot afford the cost of employer-based or private insurance, can qualify Medi-Cal or AIM (Access for Infants and Mothers)
